This is Lindsay Lohan singing April 07, 2007. I know she can act, in real life and on stage, when she chooses, but she can sing too.
Rodney Jerkins, world-class R&B producer thinks so also. He had done production work for Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Tyra Banks & Destiny's Child and wants Lindsay Lohan and Lady GaGa to get together in the recording studio (for singing).
"I can pair them up," says Jerkins, whose most recent combo was on Gaga's "Telephone" featuring Beyoncé. "I would love it. I would love to see what could happen."
With or without "Poker Face" GaGa, Jerkins seriously believes that Lindsay Lohan can be the next big thing in pop music…
"If she stays focused, I think she has what it takes," Jerkins told reporters this weekend at the Clive Davis/Recording Academy pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "I've talked to her, and I said, 'You've got what it takes. I really believe in you.' "
"I've seen a lot of people questioning actresses who have wanted to become pop stars, and they don't have it," Jerkins said. "I believe she has it, something deep down. I've listened to her in the past, and I think there's something there. It just needs to be pulled out."
Jerkins didn't talk so much when it came to the "Telephone" video that Lady Gaga and Beyoncé shot with director Jonas Akerlund. "All I'm going to say," he said, "is that [the video] comes from a classic film."
Do you think Lindsay Lohan should jump at the chance? I do with or without the Lady, as much as I love her also.
