Here's an unusual indirect contribution for Haiti relief. Britney Spears and her father, Jamie appeared in L.A. Court on Friday, not to end his conservatorship, but to ask permission to donate a dress.
The dress in question was worn by Britney Spears at the 2008 MTV awards and will be auctioned off to benefit the earthquake victims in Haiti.
With the usual legal wording Commissioner Reva Goetz granted Britney Spears request by stating that it was OK to dispose of "items that are longer useful to Ms. Spears or her estate."Why not say thanks for donating your dress for auction and helping Haiti. The wording makes it sound like a Goodwill donation. Does Britney Spears get a slip of paper for her tax returns, Mr. Commissioner?
